I'm Real Because...

I don’t take my life for granted. I have had so many amazing opportunities in my lifetime, and from my experiences, I have come to the conclusion that the most important thing, maybe even the point of life, is to serve others and to make a difference. I am a volunteer tutor at a local elementary school, and I am also a girl scout and a member of the service club at my school. Helping others is the only way for me to live a satisfied life. I am grateful that there are so many global organizations working to make a change, but I am even more grateful that I am able to serve others in my local community because I think that it is important to give back to the community that gave so much to me. Whether I am tutoring a child, picking up litter in the park, feeding the homeless at a food bank, or simply donating clothes to a clothing drive, I feel amazing because I know that even the tiniest bit of service from me makes a huge difference to someone else. And that's what makes me real.
